By integrating the Mercuryo widget, your customers can buy crypto by following these steps:
- Get a quote. The user selects the crypto they want and enters an amount. The widget shows the rate, the fees and the applicable limits before they continue.
- Enter the wallet address. The user provides or confirms the wallet address the crypto should be sent to. Depending on the integration, it may be pre-filled from a connected wallet.
- Sign in or sign up (when required). If the user isn't already identified, they may log in or create an account before continuing.
- Verify identity (KYC) (when required). Depending on the amount and our checks, the user may be asked to complete identity verification.
- Pay. The user selects a payment method — card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a regional method such as Interac or QRIS — and confirms.
- Processing. Mercuryo processes the payment and shows its status.
- Crypto delivered. Once the payment clears, Mercuryo sends the crypto to the user's wallet address, and the purchase is complete.
The rate and fees are always shown before the user confirms, and the widget can be themed to match your product.
Frequently asked questions
Which payment methods can users buy with?
Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and regional methods such as Interac and SEPA — see "Which payment methods does Mercuryo support?".
Do users have to verify their identity?
Not always. Depending on the amount and our anti-fraud and compliance checks, some purchases require identity verification (KYC) and some don't. For smaller purchases, Fast Track lets users buy crypto without full verification up to a set limit — see "Fast Track: simplified crypto purchases with Mercuryo".
How do users receive the crypto?
Mercuryo sends it to the wallet address the user entered, once the payment clears.
